Weisbart Springer Hayes Adds Two Attorneys in Austin 

AUSTIN — The Austin-based boutique litigation firm Weisbart Springer Hayes LLPis pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys, each with distinctive backgrounds that enhance the firm’s already significant capabilities in complex commercial litigation.  

“As the amount of active litigation and the number of scheduled trials increase, these two talented lawyers strengthen our ability to respond to those demands and better serve a growing roster of clients,” says the firm’s Geoff Weisbart.   

James Hatchitt brings extensive experience in representing plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal courts, having served as a partner at a litigation boutique in Austin and as a litigation associate in Houston for an international law firm.   

His work has included claims involving business torts, fraud, contracts, insurance coverage, employment disputes, real estate, and fiduciary and probate matters.  An Austin native, he earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from Baylor University School of Law and served as a law clerk to Judge Ed Kinkeade in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.   

Cody Coll joins the firm following a Coleman Fellowship in the Office of the Solicitor General of Texas, where he represented the State’s interests before state and federal appellate courts and advised trial litigation divisions and executive leadership on matters of legal policy and litigation strategy.   

He has also served as a law clerk to Circuit Judge Joel M. Carson III of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, as well as to District Judge J. Campbell Barker of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.  He earned both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from Baylor University, where he served as Senior Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review.
