Veteran Houston trial lawyer William Moye has launched his own plaintiffs personal injury law firm, Moye Law Firm. Mr. Moye spoke to The Houston Business Journal  about his decision to leave Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons and why he switched sides after a decades long career as a civil defense lawyer.

“I’ve represented companies and industries, and I’ve done it with appropriate vigor, credibly and ethically, and I’ve had positive outcomes,” Mr. Moye told Houston Business Journal. “I do think the other side of the table, where you have people in need of positive outcomes that are literally life changing to them, I want to be part of that orchestra that helps them have life-changing opportunities when they’ve been wronged by others.”

Mr. Moye’s legal experience includes representing some of the largest companies in the world, including Ford Motor Co., Pep Boys Inc., Michelin North American Tire, Chevron Corp., Chevron Phillips Petroleum Co., Valero, and more.

Mr. Moye says he anticipates inviting other lawyers to join his practice over the next two years.
