Lawyers fulfill wish for exercise bike by Sisters of Holy Family of Nazareth
TYLER, Texas – The attorneys at Martin Walker PC, a Tyler-based law firm specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice, have provided a special delivery of a NordicTrack Grand Tour iFit Exercise Bike to the local Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth community.
The gift will help bolster the physical well-being of the seven nuns who live in a convent on the grounds of Christus Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler and who see to the spiritual and emotional needs of the patients and staff.
“We have created the type of firm where every team member is dedicated to helping others,” said Martin Walker co-founding attorney Reid Martin. “Knowing the good work the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth are doing at the hospital, we wanted to find a way to repay them for their selfless acts of kindness and compassion.”
“You can imagine our surprise when the Sisters requested an exercise bike to use in their free time,” said firm co-founder Jack Walker. “We made sure to fulfill that request as soon as possible.”
The firm presented the gift on Feb. 19.
The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth is an international Roman Catholic congregation of vowed religious women dedicated to serving families through active ministry. The U.S. province of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth has 230 Sisters serving in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The Tyler, Texas, community is led by Sister Malgorzata “Margo” Majszczyk.
