“Patents must clearly disclose which path the inventors selected and how they arrived at the claimed invention,” said Ashley Moore, the Office Managing Partner in Dallas for the firm Michelman and Robinson, in a story from Bloomberg Law about a case that ended with the cancellation of patent claims on a new hepatitis C treatment. Moore, a well-respected patent litigator, says this reinforces the importance of establishing a clear line from the research and development of a drug to eventually filing for a patent.
