Criminal defense lawyer and former acting Dallas County District Attorney Messina Madson says issues with regard to proper storage of Dallas Police Department videos are nothing new. The Dallas Morning News reports there are some 52,000 improperly stored digital files, including police bodycam video, which could be evidence in pending court cases. Ms. Madson, now with Dallas criminal defense firm MC Criminal Law, told reporters that in 2015, when she was acting DA, she met with Dallas Police monthly on the issue. Read her comments here.
