The oil field fire that almost killed Justin Cobb changed his life. The Houston Chronicle recently told the story of the Zehl & Associates’ client and his settlement with his former company, Chesapeake Energy.

In 2020, Mr. Cobb sustained severe injuries during an oil field explosion that he says was caused by the company’s negligence. After a lengthy recovery process that included multiple surgeries, he decided to sue. As a result of the $90 million settlement, he has started his own company focused on creating safer oil field tools.

Mr. Cobb told the Houston Chronicle, “Who better to sell getting guys out of the line of fire than me?”
