DALLAS – The Texas-based public relations and marketing firm Androvett Legal Media & Marketing is proud to announce the addition of Jason Sickles as a Legal Media Consultant.
Mr. Sickles, a nearly 30-year veteran of newspapers, broadcast news and online reporting, will tap that experience to play a key role in guiding clients and lending insight into the news-gathering process and changing media landscape.
“A journalist with Jason’s versatility is rare,” said Mike Androvett, founder of Androvett Legal Media & Marketing. “Regardless of the medium, Jason understands the demands of local and national news outlets. We’re very lucky to have someone of his caliber on the team.”
Before joining Androvett, Mr. Sickles was a senior national reporter for Yahoo News, where he used the latest social media tools to engage readers. While at Yahoo, Mr. Sickles broke stories on the Boy Scouts of America sex abuse cases and was the site’s go-to reporter for crisis situations like the Sandy Hook school massacre, Boston Marathon bombing and other tragedies.
Before working in online journalism, Mr. Sickles was a field producer for the CBS Evening News and a longtime staff writer at The Dallas Morning News.
“For 20 years I trusted Androvett’s team to tip me to newsworthy stories and connect me to top legal experts,” Mr. Sickles says. “To pair my experience with a firm that has such an outstanding reputation is a great opportunity.”
Mr. Sickles earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Androvett Legal Media & Marketing assists attorneys and law firms with public relations, crisis communications, marketing and advertising. The firm maintains offices in Dallas and Houston.
