"I'm honored to be a member of ABOTA, much less its president. I wholeheartedly support the ABOTA mission to preserve and promote the civil jury system," says Mr. Kim. "I look forward to working with this remarkable group of Houston lawyers to further that cause."
Mr. Kim represents business and individuals in complex litigation and often is called upon to assist in significant courtroom cases on the eve of trial. He recently was hired mid-trial by a second party after helping his client successfully emerge from a contentious case.
He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has earned an AV®-rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Kim also has earned a spot on the annual Texas Super Lawyers listing since 2003, and is a proud member of both The Million Dollar Advocates Forum and The Verdict Club.
Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only, and member attorneys must have tried at least 20 cases to verdict as lead counsel, in addition to displaying skill, integrity and civility in their practice. The prestigious group hosts numerous continuing legal education (CLE) events for members, and works to educate the public on the history and importance of the American jury system.
The Kim Law Firm has recovered more than half a billion dollars for clients through aggressive litigation. The firm represents entrepreneurs, business start-ups, mid-sized companies, and established national and international corporations in everything from contract and complex business disputes to insider trading allegations, trade secrets and other intellectual property disputes. Mr. Kim and his firm represent clients nationwide in oil & gas litigation, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, securities litigation, claims of tortious interference, price fixing and other antitrust actions.
