HOUSTON – Houston lawyer Diane M. Guillerman has joined the complex commercial litigation boutique Ahmad, Zavitsanos, Anaipakos, Alavi & Mensing P.C., also known as AZA.

“We are very pleased to add Ms. Guillerman to our stable of exceptional litigators at AZA. Her vast pre-trial work and extensive appellate briefing experience will be a welcome addition to our team,” says John Zavitsanos, a founding partner at AZA.

Ms. Guillerman joins the firm with more than 12 years of experience in litigation and appellate matters. She served as a chambers attorney for former Texas 14th Court of Appeals Justice Eva Guzman, and previously worked at the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins. Her extensive experience in complex commercial litigation includes FERC lawsuits, securities matters, contractual interference disputes and breach of contract cases.

Before attending law school, Ms. Guillerman worked as a Division Order Analyst at Scurlock Permian Corp., establishing the division of oil producing property interests. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Houston Law Center where she ranked in the top six percent of her class and served as the notes and comments editor for the Houston Law Review.

Ms. Guillerman relies on her strong Alternative Dispute Resolution skills as a volunteer with the Dispute Resolution Center of Harris County. Her extensive community involvement also includes serving as co-founder and former president of the Eldridge/West Oaks Super Neighborhood in West Houston and working on the City of Houston’s Independent Police Oversight Board after being appointed by Houston Mayor Annise Parker.

Ahmad, Zavitsanos, Anaipakos, Alavi & Mensing P.C., or AZA, is a Houston-based law firm that is home to true courtroom lawyers with a formidable track record in complex commercial litigation, including energy, intellectual property, securities fraud, construction, and business dispute cases. AZA is one of only 32 firms in the U.S. to be recognized as “awesome opponents” in a nationwide poll of corporate general counsel who were asked to name the law firms they hope their companies never have to face in court. In fact, AZA has been hired on many occasions by the same companies the firm has prevailed against at trial.
