DALLAS - Respected Dallas trial lawyer Charla G. Aldous has earned a spot on Texas Lawyer newspaper's list of "Winning Women," a compilation of the state's top women lawyers.

The list honors the state's top female litigators and appellate lawyers, and appears in the Aug. 22, 2011 edition of Texas Lawyer. The "Winning Women" honorees were selected by Texas Lawyer based on success in high-stakes courtroom litigation, winning large monetary awards, and prevailing in cases that make law or have statewide or national impact.

A veteran of more than 100 trials and founder of the Aldous Law Firm, Ms. Aldous is no stranger to precedent-setting cases. She has successfully tried a variety of claims, including products liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, contract disputes, catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, complex business matters and toxic tort cases.

"I'm honored to be named alongside so many incredible women lawyers," says Ms. Aldous. "It's really a testament to my colleagues, past and present, especially Brent Walker, who I'm privileged to work with on a daily basis."

Based on Ms. Aldous' courtroom success, Texas Lawyer already has honored her as one of the top five personal injury attorneys in Texas. She also has been lauded as one of the Top 50 Women attorneys in Texas in Texas Super Lawyers, and was named Dallas' 2009 Personal Injury Litigator of the Year by The Best Lawyers in America.

Ms. Aldous is one of 20 women selected for the "Winning Women" list. A lunch honoring Ms. Aldous and the other lawyers selected to the list will be sponsored by the Council Settlement Group at the Belo Mansion in Dallas on Sept. 30, 2011.
